Hola!

Still thinking about what to put here. What do you want to know?

TV: So You Think You Can Dance?

In the summer of 2005, Fox came out with a new show called So You Think You Can Dance.

It was a knock off of American Idol only instead of singing it consisted of dancing. It quickly became one of my favorite shows. When I couldn’t watch it, I’d set my TIVO to record it and I’d watch it as soon as I had time.

I remember in the first season there were certain dancers that stood out to me.

Ryan Conferido was one of my favorites from the first season. He’s a break dancer and at first glance you wouldn’t expect him to be able to anything other then spin on his head. But then he came out with his partner Melissa and danced this incredible mambo that completely blew me away. He was wearing his crazy hairstyle and came out wearing black and I just didn’t expect him to be really good. I mean, have you seen the mambo. . .it’s not an easy dance. And he completely owned it. I searched high and low for the video but can’t find it online anywhere.

When I watched him I got goosebumps all over. Kind of like some people do when they hear a contestant sing from American Idol. It was that good. Just the fact that a break dancer was out of his element and danced a spectacular dance which took him just a couple of days to learn is just wow.

This season is no different. I’m head over heels for this one dancer. Jesus Solorio from California. It wasn’t so much his dancing that caught my attention, it was his attitude. He has this winning, go lucky attitude that just leaves me wanting to be his friend.  You know how positive, happy people give off this energy that just makes you want to be around them and become their friends, etc. . .well he has that kind of attitude, IMO.

Then yesterday guess what happened? His performance with his partner Sara completely blew me away. I started to get those goosebumps when I was watching them dance.

They danced EL Paso Doble to Queen’s, We Will Rock You. It was so different, so good. By far my favorite male on the show. (watch the video here) I really hope he makes it to the top 10. I joke to my co-workers, “Did you see my boyfriend on TV last night?”

Dominic is a hottie too. He’s a B-Boy and last night when he danced a contemporary style, he did amazing. (watch the video here)

I need to seriously figure out how to add video to my blog. It’s not working. :( Pooey.
