I’ve been slacking and avoiding this blog and many others for awhile now. It’s so odd, I get on this roll of blogging then I leave the loop for a couple of days and I feel really left behind. I’ve been so caught up with my work and other things that I just don’t make enough time to be in here.

It doesn’t help that I really hate this theme I have. My page looks so boring. I’ve been wanting to spice it up but I’ve been focusing on using all my creative energy toward work related things. I’ve even been slacking in my photography, hence, no picture with this entry. Sorry y’all.

bad cad. . .yes I know.

We have an event on Thursday at work that has been keeping all of us very busy. I went shopping this weekend to have a new outfit for the event. I can do some major damage if left in a mall. You know how some people are really good shoppers and they always go to the clearance section first, they have this knack to just find the best things on sale and get a great price for a fantastic item.

Well, that’s NOT ME! For some reason, I always end up finding the most expensive item in the store and either bust out the credit card or have someone drag me out of the store kicking and screaming before I buy it. LOL!

I don’t know what my problem is. I was suppose to just buy a cute little outfit for Thursday and ended up spending well over 500 dollars on all these things. Given, all the pairs of jeans I bought were on sale. It was crazy, it was one of those, “If you buy 3, they’re each 20 bucks.” Then I went to sephora. . have I mentioned I’m addicted to sephora. . .my sister went with me and I had to wait outside after spending 200 bucks because she was still shopping and I knew I’d just buy more stuff.

It’s okay though, I deserve some pampering.

It’s been awhile since I’ve shopped for items other then jeans and knit tops. I love where I work, I literally look crappy when I go to work now compared to how I use to dress. I was always in slacks and button up shirts or blouses and heels. Alright, so they weren’t like TALL heels, they were very short, comfy, franco sarto heels, but they were heels nonetheless! Now all I wear are knit tops, polo tanks, jean jackets, tshirts, jeans, and flip flops to show off the peeeeddiii’s!

I LOVE working in the creative industry. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. If I want, I can wear cute tshirts that have one word spelled across the chest in a feng shui/chopstick font.

I look like i’m totally emo. “I’m EMO! LEAVE ME ALONE!” ha!

It’s awesome. But also, I’ve let myself go in many ways. Now you pretty much see me wearing a pony tail. I need to remember not to get too comfy, although it’s hard.

Another thing I’ve come to realize is that I need to speed up my work process. I have no clue how freelancers do it!! It’s really hard for me to put a deadline on a creation. I want to go to town with every project that is given to me and take my time to make sure it’s something unique and it stands out from anything else. . .but I can’t just focus on one single item for too long and get backed up with other orders. I’m learning to time myself. I give myself a certain time limit on each project. I actually look at the clock and think, “Okay in 30 minutes, move on to this. In an hour, do this. Remember to focus more on this!” It’s helping me to keep a routine going and not slack off in certain areas. It’s all about discipline. . .and one word tshirts with feng shui/chopstick fonts! ;) WOOT!
