Is it too late to use the first part as a title?! lol

Thanksgiving is over. We’re almost in December people!!!

DECEMBER!

Where did this year go?! My goodness. As I’ve mentioned to many people already, I’m so over Christmas this year. Creating Christmas cards as early as October will do that to you. I called my aunt earlier this week to ask her what was going on with the gift exchange; we have one usually each year. Seems like everyone’s on a tight budget this year and someone came up with the idea of donating any gifts or money to an orphanage one of my aunts donates to each year during Christmas. I think that’s a fabulous idea! I don’t have to think about gifts this year and my money will be going to a good cause. My Christmas shopping is over! WOOT!

So guess what?! Santa came early for cad this year.

EEEEEK!! I still feel like that when I see it. I’ve been taking family portraits for a couple of family and friends for Christmas this year. I received 5 phone calls the day before Thanksgiving asking if I’m taking pictures this year. I had to say no to 3. I’m just way too swamped. Work is keeping me really busy and on my free time lately I’ve been sleeping. Anyways, on Saturday morning after much thought and consideration, I just realized that I need to upgrade my lens and I needed a flash. So I called a couple of stores, one had it and I went and bought both. I’ve already had the camera for over a year. That lens cost as much as that camera! But it was really worth it. Just wow’d me away! I’m in LOVE!

I went with a 24-105 mm lens. It has image stabilizer which is good for taking shots w/out a tri-pod. For the flash I got a 580EX II. I love it so far, but i need to read the manual.

So here are a couple of pictures I took this weekend.
