I Shoot People

I upgraded to wordpress finally.

It looks all fancy around here. All these little buttons and stuff. My blog feels so brand new! Wow, i’m like miss stoneage lately with the blog stuff.

I wouldn’t say i dont update because i have a boring life, it’s not boring. It’s just stuff that has been going on is kind of private, make sense? But I will give you guys an awesome update.

I finally turned 25 (and months) last friday. Haha, i’m 28, can you believe that? I can’t. I’m speechless thinking about the fact that 10 years ago I graduated from HS. I’m not anywhere where i wanted to be at this age, not even close. On my birthday, that morning, my mom looks at me and tells me, “I know you’re not where you saw yourself in life at this age, but I always wish you the best, mija. You are one of my greatest treasures.” I know to a lot of you, you have mothers that tell you this at random and are walking hallmark cards. My mom, she’s not one of these women. So when she said that to me that morning, I just had this feeling that she knew that I was not feeling all that week, or the week before.

That’s how my day started out. It was awesome. I went to work and had my desk all decorated with balloons and cake. I received flowers from two different people. They took me out to lunch. After work I met up with my sister and friends and had beers and wings. Then we went to a very late show of SATC. I loved the movie, BIG TIME!

The next day I went out dancing with some friends and got pretty drunk. That was fun and sad, and a whole lot of other things. But i finally got some sleep and slept it off. (slideshow of pictures here, taken with my yucky cam fone.) Go up pretty late Sunday and had a photoshoot. Remember my plan to do all these shoots to get this website up to offer my talented services. . well had one Sunday of my friend SIl. I’ll post pictures below.

I didn’t end up entering the contest i mentioned in the entry before, I didn’t have enough prints to enter. That’s a bummer. But it’s okay, I will since i’ve decided to shoot more. I’m just getting as focused as I can on me.

Did i mention that i’m going to cheecago? Yes! I am! At the end of the month, that’s exciting news too, huh? I’m planning to go to the gates of heaven. . yes Wrigley Field. Very stoked about that.
