Positive Space

Check out the new digs! Nice huh?  Do you likey? Comments? Criticism? I’ve been working on this new theme for awhile now and finally have it up and running.  I lurrrve it!  I know it’s a lot of white, but let’s think of it as positive space!

My blog theme update was way overdue.  I hadn’t updated my wordpress in a kabillion years and when I upgraded it was a “WHOA” moment.  The whole dashboard was different. Ahh…why mess with the procrastinator in me, it’s the only thing that’s perfect.

I’m finally showing off the logo I worked on sometime early last year, I’m starting to think “branding,” so it’s now up for the world to see.  You should see my business cards, so cah-ute!  I’ll be honest, I hardly ever pass them out (FEAR, FEAR creeps in!) but I am trying to accept more opportunities that present themselves to me.

So in recent news, I finally found someone who is going to teach me how to use my flash.  I’m uber excited.  We’re bartering, I’m going to show him photoshop stuff and he’s going to show me how to use this flash that I’ve had way too long without properly using it.  I’m hoping to somehow transition into learning how to use studio lighting, but I don’t want to  loose my passion for natural lighting, I want to learn how to use it as a fill light when I’m shooting outdoors.

So changing the subject a bit, I have to share something that ALMOST happened today.  For those of you that love Sephora.com, they’re having a 15% off sale on whatever you purchase online until March 7th (type in promotional code J89LM when you check out).  Well as soon as I found out about this sale (yesterday) I was all over that.  I love Sephora.  I went online and filled up my basket, deleted some stuff, filled it up again, deleted…it took a day to decided what I wanted to buy.

I was just about ready to just send off my order and I couldn’t make up my mind between two blushes I’ve been wanting from NARS.  (How many guys have I lost so far? LOL. Hang in there!  I swear it gets good!)  Laurie, who is also a makeup freak like myself, was online and I wanted her opinion.  I start to text her, “I can’t make up my mind on what to get from Sephora.”

I continued to type and was half a second away from sending her my next line when she replied and said, “This isn’t Laurie it’s her husband.”  THANK GOD i read that, because the next message I was going to send was, “I cant decide between Orgasm or Deep Throat.”

Yes, NARS has two very similar blushes that are named Orgasm and Deep Throat.  I’m glad I caught myself before i sent the message, but I have to say, I do wonder what his reaction would have been had i sent it…haha!
