Hola!

Still thinking about what to put here. What do you want to know?

jan 7 2010

Some days are pretty normal.

You wake up, you get ready for work, you face the traffic to your favorite song playing on the radio…if you’re lucky.

But then some days are extraordinary.  I will never forget today.  Today, my friends…has been amazing!!!  7 is soooo my lucky number!

Age saw two quiet children
Go loving by at twilight,
He knew not whether homeward,
Or outward from the village,
Or (chimes were ringing) churchward,
He waited, (they were strangers)
Till they were out of hearing
To bid them both be happy.
“Be happy, happy, happy,
And seize the day of pleasure.”
The age-long theme is Age’s.
‘Twas Age imposed on poems
Their gather-roses burden
To warn against the danger
That overtaken lovers
From being overflooded
With happiness should have it.
And yet not know they have it.
But bid life seize the present?
It lives less in the present
Than in the future always,
And less in both together
Than in the past. The present
Is too much for the senses,
Too crowding, too confusing-
Too present to imagine.

-Robert Frost, Carpe Diem

Roman Pinzon-Soto - This is simply beautiful. It got me thinking this: It's often oh so easy to live in the past, or always anticipate the future; "living in the present!" sometimes seems too cliché, at least to me at times, but ultimately, when you learn to break out of those tendencies and experience what living in the now means and feels like for YOU, then, my friend you've found one of the things in this life that brings true joy. Also, makes me think of one of my favorite videos. Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen! http://bit.ly/5upzsU Carpe Diem, Roman Pinzon-SotoJanuary 7, 2010 - 7:50 pm
